Consultation:
We provide an in-person, confidential consultation to discuss your situation, review your goals, advise you as to the various options and the law. Please call to schedule an appointment to meet with Attorney Patton. There is a $125 fee for a one-hour consultation and that amount is credited to your account should you decide to retain the Law Firm of Cynthia L. Patton PC.
Refundable retainers:
During the consultation, Attorney Patton will quote you an initial retainer to begin representation. Initial retainers vary based on the type of case and the facts of the case. Initial retainers generally range from $1,500 to $7,500. That amount is kept on account with the Law Firm of Cynthia L. Patton PC, and the firm bills all attorney time, staff time and costs against the account balance. Your account and case needs are reviewed at least every thirty days. Depending on the status of your case, it may become necessary to request an additional retainer amount. That amount is based on the status of your case at that time and the anticipated work necessary to continue your case. Unlike many other firms, at the Law Firm of Cynthia L. Patton PC, we will return all unused retainer funds to you at the end of your case.
Detailed Monthly Account Statements:
Each month you are provided with a detailed statement of your account. Your statement will document all activity taken in your case during the prior month. You will not have any questions about what is being done on your case or where your money is going.
Payments:
We accept payments of cash, checks, Visa or MasterCard.
